How it works at home
- Variable 22–65 kHz ultrasound. The frequency keeps shifting, so rodents cannot settle into one tone and learn to ignore it.
- Covers up to 1,500 sq ft of open area. Ultrasound does not pass through walls or closed doors, so plan one unit per room you want to protect.
- Plug in and leave it on. It runs from a normal 220 V socket and uses under 5 W. There are no refills and no servicing.
- Fine around family and pets. The sound is above human hearing and does not disturb cats or dogs. Do not use it in a room with pet rodents such as hamsters, guinea pigs or rabbits.
Where to place it
Plug it in 1–1.5 metres above the floor, facing the open part of the room, with nothing in front of the speaker. Curtains, sofas and stacked cartons absorb ultrasound, so keep the path clear. Start with the room where you see droppings or hear activity at night, usually the kitchen or store room.
What to expect
Most customers notice less activity within 7–10 days. A heavy or long-standing infestation can take 3–4 weeks.
